3,000 a.D.

"Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will." George Bernard Shaw.

Whoosh!!! “What happened? Where am I? What time is it? What year is it?” I started to ask myself a lot of questions. Then I heard, “It's going to be OK.”
The lights turned on, and I saw this old woman. There was something familiar about her, I just couldn’t pinpoint it. She grabbed my hand and showed me to a chair. I sat down.
“My name is Gabriela, with one L,” she said softly. I looked at her and I asked, “What date is it?”
She replied, “It’s March 28th.”
“I feel like you’re not telling something,” I said curiously.
She replied, “The year is 3000; yours and my full name is Gabriela Alejandra Pedraza de Leon. You just went through a time machine, Gaby.”
My jaw dropped. “Tell me more,” I said.
This time she spoke faster. “You love chocolate, you have a half-sister named Carla and you-”
“Wait, how do you know this?” I interrupted. “The only way this is possible is that you’re me and I’m you,” I continued.
“Let’s go take a walk,” she said.
We went outside; we hardly talked.
There were more advanced buildings, there were highly advanced ships (spaceships), transporter beams, and lots more.
“Is that Atlantis!” I exclaimed.
“Yes, it is,” she replied.
“Now, I will tell you all the elements of this technology,” she said.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because, if I don't, then this will never come true. Look, when I was your age I came here; the lady told me to give all this technology to the world, and I did, and this happened; we found Atlantis, and bing-bang-boom! This happened.” She spoke louder than ever.
I said “So, what you’re saying is true; then I need to tell the world about this technology.”
“Yes!” She yelled.
We walked back to her house.
“It’s time for you to go,” she said.
“OK, goodbye,” I sighed.
I left. The next day I told about the technology. They sent a letter to the scientists. The world soon knew about the new technology.
